125,000 in less than 5 days

This locally brewed music platform developed by Gakk media, has clearly addressed the innate need of users and artists alike as it is evident by the influx of 125,000 trial subscribers in less than five days after the launch. Eid is the biggest festival in the country and GP Music brought in an added flair with the grand release of more than one hundred new albums under a campaign called “Eid 100” leading up to the last Eid in July. The introduction of the “GP Music Billboard Hot 20” was the cherry on top, as subscribers could now enjoy the most streamed songs on this platform.

GP Music introduced many firsts in Bangladesh. The “Stream & Win” contest during the Bangla New Year’s celebration helped generate stunning growth in streaming behavior. Furthermore, GP Music organized “The Biggest Jam Session” in Bangladesh – where over two hundred guitarists and singers came together to pay a tribute to GP Music’s flagship Band and the Iconic Rock Band of Bangladesh– “Artcell”. The video of the tribute went viral nationwide and triggered subsequent large group tributes to the band, making it an absolute social phenomenon.
